Fire Engines & Books

I have been a BAD BLOGGER, so sorry. Life is flying by lately and I just can't bring myself to miss it while blogging every detail anymore. So I will compromise and say while the daily blogging will stop I will try and fill you all in once or twice a week. Promise. Done.
Ok, so Miss Carys has been enjoying her school so much and recently took a trip to the local library and Dennis the menace with her class. I snuck in on her @ the library and caught her in her element. What fun. Some days I still have a hard time realizing I am a MOM. Like little moments like this field trip, well, just tripped me out. Like I looked around and thought to myself, wow, I'm a mom?! Here at the library. With my daughter, Carys. Who is 5. Wow, I'm really a mom?! It was great to pop in.
Then the local Seaside Fire Dept. came by to show off Lola (the fire dog) and their fire engine. Boy did these kiddos have some serious one liners. The adults had a hard time keeping a straight face at times. Even me. Carys loved it and was so in love with Lola. Everything at this age is so literal. So as Fireman Johny spoke about Lola and how when she is going to the grocery store or around town and wearing her special vest, not to pet her. Carys raises her hand and says, 'She shops by herself?' 'Where does she put her groceries then?' We all got a kick out of it. It's good to be her mom.
