Girls Day Out

Us girls had a day out after Thanksgiving together. I started off teaching them the fine art of 'Window Shopping' and we headed off for a bite to eat and saw Tangled at the movie theatre. It was a blast. These are some fun girls to hang with.. just saying.

The girls school pictures finally arrived last week and have been on display in our home ever since. So we thought we would share our pride and joy with all of you. They are quite the upgrade, if you can believe it, from last years photo's.lol We think they speak volumes about how different these two can be. Oh but we love them so.

Entertainment

If there was one thing I would take out of a burning house, it might not be pictures anymore. It just might be the video's the girl and everyone else now who visits, makes on our computer through Photobooth on our Mac. Some of the best laughs yet. Holy Smokes, enjoy. Because you know we do.

VBS Recap

Last week Carys and Bay Shaye attended VBS @ our church and let me tell ya, they had a blast. There were new friends made, games played and crafts home everyday. At one point, upon checking in in the morning Bay ran to her teacher (leader) with open arms and hugged her like she was a long lost relative. Kinda freaked me out but whatever at least she liked her right?! Bay has been coming into her own lately and surprises Sam and I everyday with her quirky sense of humor and style. Carys also Love loved loved her little group. Made some news friends, saw some old ones and as you can see in the pictures below got friendly with some grass play with her buddy. What a little gentleman to let her cover him with grass, don't cha think? I too enjoyed a week straight with no girls for a couple hours a day. What a trip that was. Took me almost the whole week just to figure out just what the heck I was supposed to do anyway. Oh well. I guess I am just not ready for that yet, so glad we ease into that.Well enjoy!

Boobies

In the car ride today...

Bay- 'I have big boobies'

Carys- 'No you don't and don't say that about your privates'

Bay-' Yes I do. And you have whittle boobies and I have big boobies like mama'

Carys-' Mom, Bay says that I have little boobies'

Bay-( laughing/yelling out loud now) You have whittle boobies, you have whittle boobies.......

In my head thinking.... Isn't this a fight/discussion/whatever that is supposed to happen like in another 10 maybe 15 years? Come on right?!

New eyes

I must be getting old(er) because this week I picked up my first official pair of driving/reading glasses. And the girls were just dying to get their grubby little hands all over them. So I decided to let them show them off for me. My 'New Eyes'as they call them.

Bathtime..take 3

These girls can not get enough bathtime. It's almost a treat to them. If we say NO! to bathtime, there are some minor meltdowns in these here parts. The only rule... NO water on the floor, which isn't all that easy most of the time.Here are some quick pic's of the hooligans in all their glory,we have decided to blackout the private parts just for peace of mind. What in the world?

Bay, to a degree, loves playing the baby. Damsel in distress if you will. So she hooked sis in today with a little whimper and ended up in her own little hut/ nap basket. All snuggled tight.What a piece of work. Carys wanted me to post this too so you all could she her hard work. Lov yas

A Picnic for 2

It's bright and sunny today and the girls had alot of time outside while I 'tried' to catch up on some painting. 'Tried' being the operative word of course. We busted out the hose and they had a ball with it. Bay was a little unsure of the whole water out of the hose situation but figured it out. Then joined in. Now it's naptime and all is quiet and I think I might join them both in a little siesta of my own. This pregnancy has drained me of energy and I could really sleep all day. It's a good day to stay home and enjoy the weather.

Easter Morning 2008

Even though every year gets more and more difficult to capture a cute(decent) picture of the girls, I tend to think it's the ones you don't plan to capture that turn out the best. And really catch some of who they really are.

Better Days

Wow, have I been better. I got hit with a form of the 'plague' on Sun and have been down ever since. Yuck! But my team has come in clutch for me and I have been blessed with the help. Lindz, you are the BOMB! Plain and simple. And Sam and Carys have made the greatest team. Carys comes in every couple hours to check on me asking:

Carys'- Mom,if you need somping' just ask me and I will get it for you, k?
Mom- Ok hun, thank you for being such a big help to mama.
Carys- Well, Im not really a big big girl yet but, and I can't really get you medicine cause it's too high but I can get you a popcicle if you want that?
Mom- Yes, thats would be perfect.(giggle inside not out)

This cold took me out for almost a week and poor little Bay too.

Happy Valentines Day!

A very Happy Valentines day from all of us here in the Phillips Crew! The girls are on the mend from a fierce cold they had last week. They are happy and healthy now and enjoying some chocolate cupcakes today. Carys also this week had a milestone. She can officially write. She is super pumped about it and with a little help for spelling, she is well on her 'own' way to letter writting. She sends out her valentine to Grama Carol and Grandpa Dave today is the message above. With Love all of us here

Surprise! Naptime?

I got quite a shock this afternoon. Carys was in a time out(don't ask) and she accidentally fell asleep while she was there. She does this alot. So Bay decides to join her while I am finishing getting ready for the day. I walk into their room to find Bay snuggled up to Carys 'Fast Asleep'. I had to capture the moment. It was too perfect. I just wondered though, how she got up there by herself and covered herself with blankets? ummmm, she seemed determined!

Saturday Morning stroll

This was taken on a Saturday morning walk we take along the coast every now and then. Sam and I would say this is what we missed while in AZ. And it truly was. The girls have such a blast checking out all these new sights we didn't have back home in AZ. We are really lucky/blessed to have such a beautiful back drop to our lives here in Monterey, CA. Enjoy the view....

These Moments

My girls today made me laugh almost all day long.
Carys kept asking me questions and saying 'Mom, if I'm right and your wrong, then I will be right and you will be wrong k'? 'But if you're right and I'm wrong, then you're gonna be right, ok'? Like really, did my 4 and a half year old just figure life out for me? When you are wrong, you are WRONG and when you are right,well......you are RIGHT, imagine that. And my Bay, she says to me today,'Ma,look at this'! And then she proceeded to do a little dance around my room. Hilarious. She was so proud of herself. Then she saw my camera laying on the bed and pointed at it and went and grabbed herself the best prop, Her Big Sis. I love looking at her hand wrapped tight around Carys' littl leg in this photo. She literally adores her big sister, my simple words don't do her love for Carys justice.

This little munchkin was actually throwing a fit every time Sam would near the door, hilarious and so very sad all in the same breathe. Poor girl, she knew something was up today.

I think Sam and I have survived one of the most nightmarish years of our lives together as a married couple this past year. I was thinking today that we started traveling last year at this time and have yet to stop. Yuck! This morning the girls and I are off to AZ again to 'handle some business' (as dad would put it). Carys is pumped and helped me pack all the snacks last night. She is a bit of a pro ,people, to traveling, let me tell ya. This is like second nature for my kids and I. We kinda have a knack for it. Anyhow, don't know how long we will be but are praying that the Lord has an amazing plan for this time and teaches and equips us both to have better discernment for any future renters we come to meet. Pray if you think of it that God will do amazing things with this time and over our travels as a family.

Let the adventure begin.

I caught a couple of moments before Sam went off to work this morning. The girls, although excited to leave and 'trip out' with ma, there will be NO SUBSTITUTE for D-A-D!

This is how we do....

A day @ the beach in January in Monterey. The girls needed out of the house and frankly so did I. So we headed to Lover's point, a fav of mine as I spent much time there as a little girl with my mom too. Got some cool finds for shells, Bay ate a little sand for good measure and there was plenty of sand castle making for everyone. Had a blast and Carys wakes up this morning and asks, ' Can we just stay home today mom'? Kinda funny but OK with me. I think I might have wore them out yesterday! hahaha Thankx for hanging out with me girls!
