Carys has been doing amazing in school. Here's a small update... She got her 1st Mid Quarter Report the other day and I'm her mom(duh?) and I feel like bragging a wee bit on her(Cause I'm a Big Fan of course) for her awesome effort this year... Her teacher wrote, "Carys is a rare gem in a vast 'sea' of students. I struggle with the thought that she was ever overlooked or discounted at her former school. At the same time, I am feeling quite fortunate to have her in Monterey Bay Christian School, where we can set her sails for greatness. despite some early typical 'hiccups' that are to be expected at this age, Carys is a fabulous student, and there is no need to worry about her in regards to her peer relationships or citizenship in the classroom. Carys is doing well in each area we study. She is able to use her skills well, and is developing into a superior student. I do not have any areas of concern mainly because her approach to school includes that ,'I will try", attitude. Carys is bound to have a successful year. I confidently report, 'all is well'. Celebrate!' So there you have it, we couldn't be more pleased with the transformation this has had on our girl being with this wonderful woman of a teacher and enviorment. Last Friday at Chapel, Carys was chosen to be a Mighty memorizor with a classmate. This comes as a bit of a honor because the children who are chosen have memorized the best all week. I watched her with tears in my eyes. For a couple reasons. First, I'm love her so much and am so proud of her. and two, this still seems so new to me some days, this mom thing. It's like I look up and think,'What am I doing here?' ' I have a 5, almost 6 year old?' WHAT?! And she knows who Jesus is in part because of me? Weird and cool and surreal all at once.We love you goosh and pray for your sweet life in the Lord!
