A Brand New Start

We went for round two this year with our second attempt at Kindergarten for Carys. It was meant to be as God had intended. Carys has been anticipating this day for a long time and today was her day. I woke this sweet face up this morning with breakfast in bed. A tradition I hope to keep for a special first day of school kinda thing. She kind of liked it, I think. We all got ready and headed out. Stopped at Auntie's for a photo opt and off to school we went. And I must say it is true, you get what you 'pay' for. Because as we arrived at school, we  were greeted by a warm and friendly table of coffee, cookies, donuts and a small gift bag for kindergarten parents to take home with us. As we walked Carys into class it was stock full of kids, parents, siblings, the teacher of course and lots of LOVE. Mrs. Lecce escorted Carys to find her seat and number and took a picture of all of us with Carys for her first day. Then she gathered everyone to pray over the new little kindergartners with parents and siblings along side. And finally wrapped it up with a sweet story, The kissing hand. Now if you know me at all, I'm a fragile one. So it really took all I had not to break down right there and possibly ruin my reputation with all these new parents right off the bat. What a baby they might say. But I held it together, at least til I got to the car. Opened my gift bag to find tissue, some mints, a mini chocolate bar and a handwritten card that read, " He reached down from the high and took hold of me, He drew me out of deep waters" Psalm 18:16 And that simply sealed the deal. My sweet Jesus gave me so much peace about her being there today. She was safe and loved and His words are constantly spoke into her heart there. And thats worth every penny. Congrats my sweet Care Bear, I can even imagine how far and wide and deep His plan for you will take you one day. Bless your sweet heart my love.

Stay tuned... Bay's first day is tomorrow. PreSchool here we come!
