What a kick off Carys had this weekend. We all went out and enjoyed Carys' fav. SUSHI and Ice cream. What a combo, right?! That's our girl though, not the ordinary. So we then headed off to our local Mervyn's for some school shopping where we got some cute digs for the 1st day of school and Carys picked her very own backpack. It was just a super sweet time to hang with our family and see just how far our little girl has come. Wow!

My sweet baby girl had her first day of Official school today. The big K-1 (that's just plain old kindergarden for you folks that are scratching your heads right now). She did great. I did OK, in case you were wondering. We walked her in and met with her teacher, who happened to be a sub, bummer! We walked her out to the playground where she asked what I (her mama) was going to do next. I said I am gonna wait to walk you in Goosh, that's when she said it. She uttered the words you do not anticipate hearing the first day your first born goes to school. "I want you to go mom".Gasp, yes, I know, it stung and then I replied, no I will not leave I am your mama and I am staying with you until you go to class. And I also added humbly that it hurt my feelings and I just wanted to be there for her which she considered and accepted. Thank goodness. I almost got dogged by my very own 4 year old. So we saw her off to class and watched her little frame get lost in the over sized backpacks and into her very own classroom. All by herself. 8:30-2:50 PEOPLE! I was a mess...until about 2ish. At least that's when I could start calling friends back inquiring about the BIG DAY. I hung out with Christine this morning until about 11:30, she was my free therapy for the day. THankx girl! Then wondered aimlessly throughout the better part of Monterey, Seaside, Pg with Bay, until it was 2:30 and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel, time for pick up. Bay was such a trooper today. Different child let me tell ya. Chatty, friendly and just plain RELAXED. For those who know her, she tends to be...well...... not that relaxed. You just never know with her. But today she turned a corner outside of Big sis's shadow. And the joy it brought her to play endlessly with toys that are always jacked from her on a daily basis was pure satisfaction! I heart her. So we got home, put Bay down for a nap, and walked to Colton for the pick up.
Things I learned from my Kindergardener today:
*She has 3 new friends: Max, Victoria and Baylie (like her sister)
*She learned her lower case a's today
*They have really small potty's, sinks and soap in the bathroom's
*Some boy pulled her hair today in the cafeteria( what the heck)?! They don't know what kinda mama they are messing with Oh H*!! No!?!?!??!?!
*The teacher (sub) complimented her on listening and raising her hand in class.
*And she wants to go back tom. Yes!
I am so proud of my girl. She has a sweet little spirit and I can't wait to see her little life grow and flourish in Jesus and in the many people she meets. I love you Goosh and congrats on your 1st day of school. You will shine!
