Late Night Thoughts
Carys and I had way too much time on our hands one day and took these pictures. I actually took the first set of her and she 'really' took the next set of me fooling around and we took the last set together. She had so much fun playing this little photo game with me.I sit tonight thinking of her so much. How much she has turned my life upside down from the moment I knew of her exsistence. From that moment she was special. No circumstance in the world changes my love for her. Today I just wanted to go out 'alone'. Just me and as I headed for the door, I hear' Mom, can I go with you please?' With a reluctant tone, I say ok. Meet me at the car. Nothing against her, I just wanted some time. So with my sidekick in tow, we headed out. I picked her up some m&m's and a apple juice, she was stoked. And I can say, we had the best time hanging out together today. I really see how much being with her and showing her I am enjoying my time with her means to her. We talk alot, funny, but today and most recently I seem to REALLY hear her. My daughter. I hear what she is saying. She is such a lover. And quite often says out of the blue I LOVE YOU MOM SO MUCH YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW.She has taught me how to freely give that love away everyday. Don't be shy, just say I love you everyday mom. I hear that little voice everyday. So unconditional.I soppose as parents and as a mom we are the ones that are to be teaching this but we are all fooled. We are so wrong. We don't know anything, what I need to do more is SHUT UP and HEAR my children. They are screaming I love you everyday to me and I need that desperatley.Carys is my precious girl and I am not bragging. I never want to damage that sweet soul of hers that is so open to Jesus, her family, sister and friends. I can't wait to get to know her more and more as she grows.
