I would like to say they get their musical talents from me but that would be an out right lie! Well, maybe not, if you were there for my rendition of the Birthday song, then you might, just by chance, think otherwise. At least my family enjoys my voice. I can make Sam bust up laughing in 3 seconds if I bust out a tune. It's amazing! Well, the girls here have memorized their Auntie's song she wrote and decided to preform it for us a couple nights ago. So happy I pressed record.

Dance Camp

Princess Tea Dance/Craft Camp was a hit this year at All The Right Steps! My little campers/dancers were precious. And made our time together hilarious and special. Never a dull moment. And I was lucky enough to have my Bay Shaye with me too. She is a great sidekick!We danced and crafted our little hearts out. Check out their fun dance they all learned by the end of the week. I was a proud mama/teacher!

Surprising Sam for a belated 30th birthday and early Father's day was awesome! With a little help from an amazing family we know (The Bruno's). We made it to At&T Park on Friday night and brought the girls to see their very 1st Giants game. It rocked and ended in fireworks over the park. And of course, to the tune of Katie Perry's Firework Song. And yes, us girls sang almost every word. Ah Yeeess! I'd say it was a pretty awesome night all around. No complaints!

Phillips Girls Easter Sunday 2011

It's crazy how fast this year is going. Scary really! I find myself looking back a lot lately and watching old movies of the girls and literally crying. My babies WILL always be my babies, don't get me wrong but HOLY COW, when did they turn into little girls? Like 5 and almost 8 year old little girls? Redunkulous! This must stop. Immediately. Easter flew by, now we are out of school for the summer and thank goodness I can ease my way into another faze of my motherhood. Because I'm going to need this ENTIRE summer loving on these little ones before fulltime school for both SMACKS me in the face come August. I'm crying right now at the thought of it all. I gotta go...

Team Seaside Sparkles was Amazing this year. The coach was easy on the eyes too,if I do say so myself.Heehee! Both girls were on the same team and all the girls & parents rocked. What a great bunch of girls. This is Carys 2nd year and Bay's 1st. Funtimes. Watch for yourself. I'm a proud mama.

My sweet baby graduated last week. Ugggg, when will it stop? The growing up, it's nonsense. Her teachers will be missed, more than they know. Her sweet friends. We totally 'cheated' this year. We decided to hit up Home Depot for our tree. And in less than 5 minutes, we picked, paid and had our tree in the beck of Sam's truck! Awesomeness! Sam seemed happier than all of us...wonder what that was all about?lol We were also able to visit Streets of Bethlehem in Salinas this year. What a sweet treat for us and the girls. Made the story of baby Jesus so tangible for both of them. And to top off this Christmas Season, we also teamed up with the young and fun Villasenor's and all watched the Nutcracker Ballet in Salinas. We are trying to make better memories with the girls this year than years past. With more family time, honoring the birth of Jesus and what that means for our salvation and a deeper appreciation for the arts. They LOVED it all! So did Mama!

( Mama was so sick that dad took the girls to the fall festival and trick o treating. I was so bummed but my body could not move. I was able to help get the girls ready. They love that I let them wear make up once a year on Halloween. But it always scares me to see em all dolled up because I see a glimpse of the future. And it scares me to death.)

Day 3 (Disneyland/Hotel room)

Ok there's a good reason there are only one photo of our last day on vacation. The girls fought a great fight when it came to this horrible cold. But on our final day/night Bay came down hard with fevers and puking all day long in the hotel. So Carys was still going strong so Sam took her out first and I took her out second while we tag teamed with Bay all day in the hotel room. Poor baby puked all day,was burning up and just plain miserable. I balled all day with her. feeling so helpless. Go figure right. On vacation. The first vacation we have taken in 3 years. Together. Carys and I hit up some shopping at the end of the night, which is always fun with my girls. Mama taught them well.wink,wink. However, when we came home, I was struck down with something horrible too. And have been down ever since. Struggle to survive, I swear. It's awful. As I continue to recover, keep our family in your prayers as my health has been hit hard over this year and I am growing weary. Our vacation was fun regardless of the SARS I caught (not really). The girls were over the moon and the best feeling in the world is being able to give your children something as special as the memories of Disneyland and their family.

Carys actually rode this roller coaster at least 5 or 6 times. It went upside down and super fast. It's called CA Screamin. The girl is just plain fearless!

Bay got to meet Jessie from Toy Story. She was a glow. She came home with a Jessie wind up doll too. So stinkin cute!

Handy Manny! The girls even got autographs. Don't judge Bay's shoes please. They gave her the edge/inch she needed to ride the rides. While it might have made her look (or us rather) a little white trash, we still had fun.lol

The girls faces on rides were awesome. This was Bay's version of trying to enjoy it but all the while being prepared for something scary. We call it One Eyed Pete! lol Carys just thought it was too loud. But this was only the Monster Inc ride for goodness sake. They rode the craziest roller coasters ever.

We did catch some great short movies. That included A bugs life, Muppets and Talk with Crush from Nemo. Best ever by far was Talk with Crush. It was totally interactive with the crowd. Sam and I laughed so hard when they would ask the kids questions too.

Checking out the Parade at the end of the day. I love the parades at Disneyland.

Ending the night with some yummy mexican food, corona's and good company. Off to see World of Color water show @ CA Adventure to round out the night. What an amazing show. Check out our short vid of just part of it! Blown away!

I really can't tell you how excited I was to be there with my family. This was such a special place filled with many memories for me as a child. With my own family. My mom loved it here..and that might be an understatement. So it always feels kinda like home coming here in a way. Even with the parents throwing the smackdown on their pouty kiddos, children having meltdowns around every corner and parents looking like they have been hung out to dry, it's still..for me... the happiest place on earth.

Our 'Fake' Camping Trip

Our girls were totally fooled into this vacation. We had talked it up for weeks. We were undecided on the exact location but ended up with a camping trip. However the girls did not know we were actually planning on going to DISNEYLAND! So the planning began and with a few hiccups here and there it all came to fruition last Monday. We headed down south, with girls in tow and tried to keep it a surprise until the big reveal at the actual hotel. AND.... WE.. DID... IT!

The vid below is one out of two I took. This first one was us telling the girls what we were TRULY doing. And the second was the room reveal. I cannot believe we pulled it off. Really. Quite hard when you are driving by Disneyland itself. I had blankets over the windows and the girls completely enveloped in Ipods and video games. But nothing gets past Bay. And as we are on our final approach to the hotel, seconds away, at a stoplight, she spots 3 Disney buses and scream 'Look sis, Mickey'! 'Look sis another one and another one'! I started to panic but Carys was too wrapped up in what I her doing and with seconds left,a ll I did was shush Bay and we were there! Enjoy!

School Days 2010

What a difference a year makes. For me and the girls. They were ready today @ 7am. I was NOT. With a little more coffee I ended up making it happen. And we all headed out the door to see Carys off to school for her first grade year kick off. As I drove away and saw the Kinder moms pouring out of the hallways in tears I could only sympathize with them. I knew that feeling last year. But....this year was different. I am in a different place. So are the girls and we were ready for this day weeks ago. All is well. I dropped Bay off @ 10am and she didn't even kiss me goodbye. Now that hurt. Hurt real bad. But I quickly got over it over a mani and sewing session. And a tour of a new gym in town. I spent my time alone wisely folks and I was refreshed! Let the school year begin! Whooohooooooo!

What could be more glorious...fanntastic...amazing... to a 4 and 6 year old other than Fancy Nancy Dance Camp. The girls enjoyed and savored every minute last week of crafts, tap, jazz, hiphop and ballet movement. And story time too. And they were so tuckered out that when it came time for bedtime.. lights out...not a peep. Can you say Heaven with me?Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh They even had a tea party at the local pizza parlor where they presented us (the rents) with gifts and showed us their place settings. It was quite magical.

The girls rocked their finest Cowgirl duds for this years Kiddie Kaper Parade. My dad went all out for his girls this year and bought them both a pair of cowboy/girl boots. Baylie's lit up upon jumps and twirls of course. Carys' were the 'Real Deal'. Sam and I enjoy going (sometimes) but the girls were tuckered out by the end. It's a little tradition we have every year. We either attend or participate. I tell myself it's the memory that matters not the headache or desire to drowned my self in a bottle of wine afterward that matters. Right?

Carys " The Cowgirl'

Carys enjoyed her very first riding lesson last week. She fell in love at a local horse riding competition recently. It's so funny to think my baby (my first baby) was so eager to just hop up there, on this HUGE animal, she did not know and want to ride. Or maybe those were my thoughts?! She has no fear. And when I say that or rather write it, I mean NO FEAR. Scary no fear. So I got in touch with a friend of my mom's and she happened to have some availability to have Carys out to her ranch. Be-au-ti-ful! Made me want to move to the country. I kid you not, I felt at home. At peace. My girls were so happy. It felt good. The kind of good you want over and over again. Carys was taught the in's and out's of horse riding and grooming ect. Great learning experience for her. And Rhena ( the riding coach) was just the sweetest with Carys too. Which put my mommy fears to ease. For the moment. Then it was time to ride. Carys hopped her little butt up there and headed toward the coral. I followed with Bay. Nervous as could be I'll admit. Since my own mom gypped me out of the childhood she had (being a country girl herself) I had no idea what I was doing. Carys then rode with Rhena for at least another hour. And if you scroll down you can see Carys in all her glory. She did take a fall. Which I warned might happen.Possibly.And I caught it( all 5 sec. of it's horror) on tape before I dropped my camera. But my girl, she is tough. She was shaken but she got right back on, cowgirl'd up and kept riding. I was a teary eyed proud mom at that point. And she had one proud little sissy cheering her on too. So we will see where this new found hobby and love for horses takes us. But for now, Carys is thrilled at this chance to ride and wants to come back as soon as possible.

I should not be allowed to attend weddings anymore. All I do is covet every single beautiful piece of the day. Every. Single. Time. This had to be one of my all time fav's. As bad as that sounds because I have been to a few. To say the least. The Bruno family had us as their guests to send off their son and his future wife to Italy..to get hitched. This was the big send off pre wedding festivities. And it was beyond words. I even had my ol' Sammy back that night. He was fun fun fun people I tell ya. It's good to get out once in a blue moon and let loose with the hubbs. And get all fancy and stuff too.

These moments were caught while we were in La. Carys decided she could swim minus the floaties, life jacket or any other floatation device. So I just threw her in. Just kidding. I watched her launch into the deep end, pop back up and dog paddle to the other side. Not a problem. Wow, my girl is growing up. Always learning. And mastering her mad skills in the pool. Craziness I tell ya. Then there's Bay. She enjoys splashing around too. Just on the safer side. But her skills are developing too.

Busy Bees

We have been enjoying our summer so much this year, I decided to take a summer break from blogging too. It's been great! Here is a quick run down of our haps so far:

* A week long playdate (over due) with one of Carys' precious classmates. It sure was nice to have some girltime.

* Off to Papa Brad's and G Grama Helen's for some exploring, berry picking, lizard hunting fun.

* BBQ @ our home with some wonderful friends, one of which left us for GA (we will see you again). The Percy's. This family we loved so much. Lorene and I met because our kiddos were in the same K class this year. And our babies enjoyed a playdate at least once a week too. I will miss Lorene. She is a true southern belle. Classy, fun, smart and beautiful. And a true fighter.

* Then my girls and I headed down to La for a week to spend some time with Tasha for her dirty 30 bday. Our girls get along great and we can always have a good time, no matter what. wink wink.

* Then we headed home only to stop in Paso for a night to visit my mom's side of the family. That was a treat. I miss all of them so much and every time I go, I want to move there. beautiful little town and the weather is amazing! Someday maybe?

Ok that's enough... now back to our summer. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Our little graduate, Carys Marie, had her night on Tuesday. Class of 2010 graduated together. It was a sight to be seen. All these little people just beginning life. It's magical really. There was lots of yummy food and great family and friends to celebrate with. Carys got her Character Award for 'Responsibility'. Quite fitting for our first born we think. We love her so much and are so proud of all her firsts this year. Dominating Kindergarden being one of them.

Carys dressed up this week as her favorite storybook character. And of course, who else would it be than.....Fancy Nancy? With some finishing personal touches we sent her off to school. She was pumped. To top it off, the school had a small assembly to showcase all the children who participated and Carys' name got drawn for a prize. She has her daddy's luck already. She was double pumped after that. The Fancy Nancy series of books is just way too cute and Carys has enjoyed reading her easy readers now with Fancy nancy in them. Way to go baby girl. You have one proud mama.

Mother's day was quiet and nice this year. We all headed to church in the morning and then had a bite to eat at Tarpy's. That was a treat. The girl were on their best behavior and so was Sam. So it turned into a very nice day. I am a very lucky mom to have these girls in my life. They couldn't be more different from each other which keeps things lively over here. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Well for now, ask me in 10 years I might have a different answer. This is my life and I try and breathe it in everyday.

My baby is 4 now. What this means, I just don't know yet. It's painful and beautiful all at the same time. Because she is my baby. She seems to have waited her whole little life to be 4. It's a very important number to her. One year closer to 5, I guess. Which might just be her goal. I've warned that there is no birthdays after double digits though. That hasn't flown over well. Anyway, we enjoyed 'Baylie Day'. She called the shots. From hanging with her gal pal, Paige to the Golden Arches or McDonald's to Thriftey's Ice Cream, this girl knows how to party. We rounded out the night by stopping off at Papa Luke's and Grama Victoria's for some hang time. All in all in was low key, that's just us these days. And it's a good thing. About a week later, her official birthday gift arrived from us. And it was a pillow pet. We got totally suckered. Which is fine. For 19.95$ she hasn't let that thing out of her sight. A small price to pay for that lite up smile. Worth it...so worth it!

Baylie-Shaye's First Ballet Recital

Buckle up everyone. You are about to take flight and have the ride of your life. This is Bay's first ballet recital video. Sam manned the video while I 'attempted' to be backstage manager. The show was a success. The dancers were precious. It brought back a flood of memories for myself but in the very best way. Thank you to all our family and friends for coming and supporting Bay. She did amazing. I was kinda shocked. With Bay, if you know her well, you just never know what you're gonna get sometimes. And she gave us a show. Enjoy.

Bay found herself admiring her Big Sissy up on the wall before class the other day. We are going into intensive week this week with recital rehearsals and final tips and tucks of everything. I know this might sound major but for me and my Creative movement class, we keep it pretty low key for our little ones. Nothing major going on with them. So excited though. It's my first ever recital as a teacher, kinda weird. But way more exciting than weird really. We will keep you posted!

Great America Adventure

The Phillips joined the Wiezy's for a Great America Adventure on Saturday. We celebrated Jackson's birthday together. And Sam and I couldn't help but look at each other throughout the day and say just how great these kids are together. They really have a special relationship these four. And now with the latest Wiezy, baby Elijah, we have a basketball team to boot. We were up from Sun up til Sun down. Riding rides, yummy food ( A Wiezy treat) Thank you guys! We had a blast. Carys is picking up her batting skills more and more as the season progresses. She is quite cute out there on the field, swinging away. Sam has recently joined the pitching staff on the team, along with coaching. Sam and Carys are a pair on the field. I love it! We are enjoying the league and all the little girls on the team. Carys and I embarked on a little date night last week and she had been asking to cut her hair for months. So I caved, made an appt. with our good friend Heather and off we went. Chop chop chop and it's all gone. And if I'm being honest, I was not too thrilled about cutting her hair, now I am. It's perfect for her. And her hair looks so much fuller. Poor baby girl got my thin hair genes. I kept her ponytail in a ziploc to commemorate her very first 'Official' haircut.

Having a child in school brings to light so many new and interesting concepts. Some of which have no meaning until you, the parent, gives it such. For example, 'liking someone' or rather 'having a crash'. I mean, a child doesn't know what that means until they are told what 'liking' someone really is. So far this year, Carys has told me how she thinks this one particular little boy is soooooooooooooooo funny. Her face lights up when she chats about how 'funny' this boy is. She even has these small little stories about the 'funny' faces he makes at her in the lunch room. And she was quite curious the day I volunteered for pizza lunch because she knew I saw this boy and wanted to suck every last detail of my interaction with him. Down to where he sat after he got his pizza from me. Now I say all this because I have yet to give this overwhelming feeling of her's a label. Right now to me and her, HE is just so funny. And it shall stay that way until I say so. We clear people? The innocence will not be lost just yet. But I am savoring every last drop of it too. I mean, come on, I'm a her mom. And I'm a girl at heart. So I totally get it too. Do you remember your first crush? Oh I do. And I even remember his name... Jefferey Bunker....preschool...1985.... Oh and don't you go dare judging me just yet either. It was only a feeling at the time which I never verbalized . But I remember. However, I was a super late bloomer and didn't even experience my first kiss until high school. See, I said don't just me too quickly..So onto these photo's. Lately the girls have been fascinated with the way way back yard. And if you were ever a 'Phillips', you know exactly what I'm talking about. The way way back is this seemly magical place when treasures are found and adventures are had. all by yourself.A taste of Independence for the first time in your little life. My girls have tasted this. So a couple mornings ago, while sipping on my morning coffee, enjoying the peace and quite, I noticed it was too quiet. For a little too long. And I found these too hooligan's, outside, climbed the fence, by themselves,(don't even ask how), exploring. I really had to laugh and thank my sweet Jesus that I did not witness just 'How' they accomplished this all on their own. So I grab my camera and enjoyed the moment with them. And snapped a quick shot of my boy, Coop. Isn't he handsome? Well I think so.

I might be seeing red today, I will tell you why. Last night while on a casual walk with Coop, I ran into my neighbors. Wonderful neighbors actually. Across the street. I have had the opportunity to get to know the past couple years. We chatted about whats been going on the last couple months. Introduced Coop. Small talked it. That's when it happened. Crazy neighbor Vicky came up. The man said to me that I should be careful of her. She is crazy. I just laughed. One because we have never talked about our stories with them before. And two, they think she is crazy too. And three, they have crazy Vicki stories too. Comedy. Imagine that? So I asked why? Out of curiosity and all. That's when the couple began to tell me that Crazy Vicki had come over a couple weeks ago telling them that Sam and I are KGB. Oh yay. Russian Spies. Are you serious? And she proceeded to tell them that we have her phones tapped and if we (Sam and or myself) are seen doing anything weird (yay that says a lot from Crazy Vicki right?) to not call the local police but the FBI. WHAT?!?!?!?!?! This story comes a day after, Crazy Vicki came over to our house, again, to 'check on us'. Really. And it just so happens she came by when I wasn't home. Again. Coincidence I think not. I mean, why you checking on us if we are full fledged Spies Vic? Seems like we could handle our own if we were right? I just got a serious kick out of this story last night and had to share. Between her and other ongoings around here, I might be able to write an incredible book someday doncha think? Uggggggg, so this is me, signing out, the KGB Spie. What is next with this one? Really? And Busy is what we have been. Oh geeze, here's a quick update. Carys is doing amazing in school. Especially her spelling tests. I am very proud of her hard work. With a rough week behind us and this week starting off great, I am looking forward to spring break! I never thought I would say I was sooooooooo ready for my girl to be home with me for a bit. But I am. We just had one of those weeks last week where by Friday, I was embarrassed to walk her into class with all the 'notes' I got in her behavior report. Nothing major but I'm her mom. I can't help but take in personally. So during the weekend while being brought to my knees, I asked Carys what I could do to help her. She thought...and thought....and came tip toeing into my sewing room with one thoughtful request.

'Mom, I have an idea of how you can help me obey Mrs. Lecce. You can pray for me'. I turned to a bowl full of mush. I fully believe that that 2 sentence request was not from her but from God straight to my heart. God does that. Uses our children to whisper things like that. Because at 6 years old, she is just a vessel with no filter of truth. And God knew I needed to hear that. In that way.

So come Monday morning, we had our first official and I've dub it

"Park-n-Pray". It was awesome.Right before we unloaded to go into school.

We have also spent some time out at my dad's house. Playing with Uncle Zane. Catching lizards, frogs and losing more teeth. Yes, that's right. Carys has no front teeth at the moment. Weird.

We also took a mini road trip down south. Sam went to have man time with a lifelong friend while the girls and I shacked up with one of my BFF's. We went shopping, park hopping and had many many laughs.Always goodtimes with all these girls together.

All in all, we are good. Carys also has began softball. We will keep you posted on game highlights as this will be entertaining, I'm sure of it. As most know I was no sports enthusiast.And let me tell you, softball is a culture not a sport. And they are only 6 years old. We will take it one year at a time.Bay continues to enjoy dance classes. But has taken up a temporary passion for softball too. We will keep you posted on that as well. Anyway, here we are alive and well.

Then she pretended to grab my heart, hold tenderly the God she believed to be in it and closed her eyes. Took a deep breathe. And said... I got some God up my nose. Now it's stuffy! Baylie Shaye had her Christmas performance on Monday night. And let me tell ya, what a beauty this one is. She came out waving and so happy. And that's when it hit me. When it was crystal clear. You see, I let Bay pick her own outfit that night. She is OB SES SED with these rainbow tight legwarmer things and headbands. So I thought I would let her have her night and rock her outfit, Baylie style. No biggie right? And it wouldn't have been had the other parents thought the same way as myself. However they had other ideas. And dressed their precious kiddos in their Holiday best. So you see what I saw then now right? Bay stood out like Punky brewster at a White house formal dinner event. But... I must say, it really was just perfect for her. I loved it because she LOVED it. Check her out, she was so very proud to be in her very own performance. ENjoy. I know I did!

Let's make it official

I am announcing that I accepted (with honor and humility) a teaching position with a long time friend of mine. I will be teaching, when I get an official class, in January. The place: All The Right Steps Dance Center. The Director of the studio, Satrina Villasenor, I used to dance with many many moons ago. We were childhood friends and I adore her. And am honored to support her through this amazing journey she has been on with owning her first business. Could I get a better gig or what? Next to motherhood, it's quite honestly the BEST. Ever! My classes will be on Wednesday's and consist of a mommy and me class and 2 creative movement classes for children 2 1/2-3 1/2 & 3 1/2-4 1/2.All classes will be in the morning. This morning the girls decided to make their own Christmas ornaments for the family. What a production. Anything that has to do with glue, glitter and colorful trinkets, Carys and Bay are all about it.They enjoyed themselves very much. I think the table actally got more decorated than the ornaments but all in the Christmas spirit and fun right?!

The family headed out to the Gaily Christmas Party this year. Santa brought along a tiny helper this year. What a hit! For parents and children alike. Carys has Santa pegged for Mr. Nate this year but she still enjoyed it all the same. The girls had a blast with all their pals and it was fun to see faces we don't get to see very often. (Heather, you looked stunning). Sam and I brought the jokes in with our gift swap. We packed in 2 pairs of underwear (granny panties and tighty whiteys) A His and Hers special. Along with an XBox game for good measure. It was a riot. So of course our pay back was the 2 elves we ended up scoring at the end of the steal. I guess that's what we get huh? But it was soooooooo worth the laugh. All in good fun.

Her two front teeth.... to fall out! Oh yay, you see that gap. Thats there because her left tooth is soooooo loose that it's gone sideways. We have tugged and pulled and with fingers crossed and a few more days, that baby will be no longer. Wish her luck, Carys is one tough cookie and practically insists we yank it every single night. I'm not as amped as Carys for this to happen. It will change her little girl face forever. Calling in those teeth she will most def. have to grow into. Pray for me.

In memory of...

Grama Ruby was a cornerstone in our family. She loved with her whole heart. Every ounce of her soul. She was proud of her family, loyal and committed to each and every one of us. She soaked up every moment with us. Every laugh, every gathering, every new and precious life and new child we brought into our tightly knit family. Grama savored all of it.

She would not want 'any fussing over her', as she would put it. Grama would want to make sure we were all ok now. At peace, as she is now.

She would want us to remember how blessed we are to have the memories of her long life spent with each one of us too.

And to hear the whisper of one of her most famous sayings ' Oh my Heavens'. What a sweet sound that must sound like from her lips to God's ears now.

She is so very loved by each one of us and the memory of Grama Ruby will live on in the stories of our hearts and lives. Always.

Find peace and rest in that thought. Until we meet again, rest now Grama and truly Live with Him.

My Great Grama Ruby passed away on a Tuesday. She was so loved and will be missed beyond words. My family gave me a sweet and precious gift of her wedding ring upon her passing and that will be truly cherished by myself. Thank you for that from the bottom of my heart.I read the above at her funeral along side my sweet family and a dear close best friend of mine , who have all been so incredibly supportive and loving through all this. Again, thank you all for your sweet words, thoughts and prayers.

Carys Thanksgiving feast was a hit. Big hit! I had a chance to come and celebrate with her and her class. What a hoot. Then later that evening she preformed some songs with her class. It rocked. What a trip to see your own child up on stage, singing with her whole heart. Precious. Loved every minute of it.

This is my girl, Bay. She likes to do strange things. Most recently she decided to make herself a human disco ball by sticking swarvoroski crystals all over her face. Doesn't she look so proud of herself? She does things like this often. She also dabbles in frequent body art with my colorful collection of sharpies. uh huh, I know what your thinking, your jealous right? Because you wish your toddler has my toddler's artistic talent and or flare right?! Oh don't cha wish. She definitely makes me laugh more than makes me cry so not much to complain about.

Wrapping up Soccer 2009

The Animals may not have won their final game of the season but........CARYS scored her very first goal in their final game. I must admit I screamed like a crazed soccer mom who had way too much caffeine that morning but who cares right. It was grand! It was just what she needed to raise her spirits because that morning she came to me and said 'Mom, I haven't scored a goal all year' (even though technically she'd only been playing for 6 weeks). I assured her that didn't even matter and she was doing great. And this goal of her's sealed the deal for her. The kids will be missed. Great little team and they were so sweet to Coach Sam in the end too. All the kids got certificates and trophies to show off their new found skills. Awesome season!

I just know Linz is getting a kick out of the blog post here because I have abandoned ALL HOPE..you hear me Linz...all hope is gone for a come back on your blog so I will blog on, vicariously through you and the lens of my camera for you! heeheehee So I had the privilege of packing up the girls last week and heading over to one of my best's friends home and introduce him to his team Phillips family. What a sweet little guy. I got my fix people. I could have held him all day long. But I'll let the photo's speak for themselves. He's precious, his bro's seem to dig him and mama Linz is the most amazing, funny, witty mom's I know. You should know her too. She's the best. We always have the best (most exhausting) time together. The girls were pumped to see their buds and played hard til the very end. Great trip, we must do this again sooner than later.. Let's just all get through the holidays in one piece right Linz?! Love you.

This visit seemed too short as well from Grama Carol but the girls enjoyed every last minute with her anyway. The picture above captured all three of them in all their silliness. We took Grama Carol on our daily adventures too. With the girls being in school now, time is short when family comes into town for them. So they take 'full advantage'. The girls and maybe Grama too, wink wink... Laughing playing, special treats here and there. We headed out to Carys soccer game, the Valley house and average around the town stuff. It was great to have her and she is missed already. Enjoy.

Meet the Flintstones! You'll have a yaba daba do time, a yaba do time, you'll have a grand ol tiiiiimmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeee. The costumes were a hit and Sam and I def. enjoyed ourselves. We hit up Carys' school fall festival and Auntie Christine's neighborhood for a little trick O treating and then is was off to bed. We rocked and got rocked. Enjoy!

Happy Halloween. We went and celebrated Jude's 1st birthday yesterday. The party was a hit, kuddos to Christine. And the girls had a blast! Happy Birthday Kermie and many more to come!
